Sumeet Bansal will be talking about SSDs and MySQL.

Solid State Technology has come a long way. Is it ready for prime-time? Is it reliable enough for production? Is performance the only driving factor behind adoption of this technology? Sumeet Bansal of Fusion-io will address these questions using real world case studies on Answers.com and Cloudmark. Both companies have deployed Fusion-io technology to not only scale the MySQL performance but to also reduce the infrastructure foot-print resulting in amazing cost savings. You will get straight-forward guidance on how to deploy Solid State storage in your environments including accounting for high-availability.

He will also talk about different types of solid state storage options available today and the pros and cons of each.
It will be an informative session and there will be a raffle after the event where one lucky person will walk away with an Apple iPad.
