We were so lucky to have Giuseppe come speak to us as he doesn't even live in the country! Most excellent!

It was a really good time with a nice presentation. Giuseppe is very generous to share his mind with us.

Giuseppe has truly elevated laziness to high art. Great presentation, nice venue, tasty pizza, :-)

Some of the best slides I've seen in a while. Was up in running MongoDB at home in no time. Great talk.

Pretty good presentation although there were alternatives to his solution.

I was intrigued by what Justin had accomplished. Unfortunately, the talk was way too technical for me. While I do dabble in SQL, I am not the expert that Justin is and I was completely lost during most of it. The speaker undoubtedly is quite an accomplished engineer but I believe his presentation would have been more powerful had he taken into consideration the skill level and interest of his gathered audience.

Jeremy was coherent, precise and insightful. Got a few ideas from the meetup on things I want to try and a couple of things I need to explore to see if its appropriate for our workplace.

Surprised at how such a big site can have reporting off the live schema. Lesser mortals would have probably run into a performance barrier they could not cross years ago and then HAD to Create the Reporting DB. It also speaks to a pretty risk tolerant and probably close knit work environment. The dedicated query nodes in their clusters is an interesting way to address some of the risk.

I enjoyed it quite a bit and picked up some very useful information. I was also quite interesting to see some of how the Craigslist "Sausage is made"

Phenomenal bare bones product/project. What can't you do with it. I understand others asking for more features, but also understand that making things more complex and tightly coupled only complicate things for future use. Take Mysql, now we have Drizzle. Will there be something to fix Gearman if it gets too bloated? I think more event (messages/status) creation would be very good. Some of the people asking for crazy features were just evident ONE-UPPERS. Best thing to do is for users to describe different scenarios in which they use Gearman, from there we can find common base features that would aid in many situations. I would like to thank danga and the Gearman team for providing a very nice tool.

Eric's presentation was very informative, educational, and interesting. I really appreciated the time everyone took in putting this together, since it sounds like he flew in from Oregon to do this for us. Of course, having the food and drinks was also really wonderful. I really look forward to meetings like these.

Bret was cool. He's got an interesting approach to storing arbitrary data that is only vaguely relational...which describes a lot of webapp data these days. Great event.
