I want to learn about Sphinx and other neat MySQL tech.
How long have you worked with MySQL?
I've been using MySQL for a long time, with my first production installation of MySQL a very early MySQL 4.0 I'm an experienced DBA. I've worked on large production MySQL databases at Yahoo, AdBrite and I worked as a consultant with Proven Scaling.
What version of MySQL are you using?
Kickfire!
Are you a DBA, a developer, a hybrid user or other?
I'm an other. My title at Kickfire is 'MySQL Czar'. I help ensure Kickfire features are implemented in a MySQL way. I've also developed Flexviews, materialized views for MySQL (flexviews.sourceforge.net) and plan on contributing to Drizzle.
